„King of Im Immortal Tithe“, von Ben Alderson, ist das zweite Buch der Darkmourn-Universe-Reihe und setzt ein par Jahre sp\u00e4ter nach dem ersten an.
Ben Aldersons Schreibstil machte einen gewaltigen Sprung vom ersten zum zweiten Band. Strotzte hier mit einer lyrischen Prosa, phantastischen Art, die der Geschichte ein super Setting verlieh. Untermalte aber auch energisch und aufgeladen die Emotionen, die es vermitteln wollte. Die Welt hatte sich ver\u00e4ndert. War enger und beklemmender geworden und die Magie schlich sich erst nach und nach in die Buchseiten ein. Man hatte also immer Spa\u00df an ihnen was zu entdecken. Der Spannungsbogen baute sich gut auf und m\u00fcndete echt unerwartet in einigen Sequenzen. Die Geschichte selbst streute alte Elemente mit neuen zusammen und machte was eigenes daraus. Es gefiel mir sehr gut. Arlo war ein toller, zwiesp\u00e4ltiger Protagonist, der von einer Situation in eine andere geworfen wurde und versuchte mit ihr klarzukommen, wobei seine Gef\u00fchle nicht mit seinen Gedanken immer eins waren. Faenir war ein d\u00fcsterer Kontrast zu Arlo und das zeigte sich auch in seiner Vergangenheit und in dem, was er durchlebt hatte.
Das einzige was ich nicht so gerne mochte, war, wie sich mit einem kurzen Gespr\u00e4ch, quasi einem Fingerschnippen, die Beziehung von Arlo und Fenrir ver\u00e4ndert hatte. Vor allem nicht nachdem sie so kompliziert aufgebaut und erkl\u00e4rt wurde. Breit erkl\u00e4rt wurde. Das mochte ich nicht so gerne. Auch war ich nicht so ganz immer der Fan von der Erotik und wann sie aufpoppte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fazit. Das Buch war absolut traumhaft zu lesen. Die Charaktere vielschichtig und die Welt magisch. Einzig an etwas Glaubw\u00fcrdigkeit bei der Beziehung fehlte es mir. Ich empfehle es dennoch. Den es war in allen anderen Punkt gut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„King of Immortal Tithe“, from Ben Alderson, is the second installment of the Darkmourn-Universe.
Ben Aldersons writing style made a massive jump from book one to book two. Became much more lyrical, phantastical in its way und gave the story setting something unique. The world itself has changend. Got more narrower, darker and almost claustrophic. The societey mentality also reflected the narrow mindness. And the magic. The magic came to me page after page. The build up in action and deaster was good and well handled. The story took some old elements, some new and built something entirely of its own, which I liked. Arlo was an amazing conflicted character, who was thrown from one situation to the other and also had to become lord of his feelings. Faenir was a sinister contrast to him, which also showed in his past and the things, he had to live through.
The only thing, which I didn\u00b4t really like, was, how after a short conversation, almost a fingersnap, their relationship just made a 360\u00b0 degree. It wasn\u00b4t completly beliveable. Not after the complications, the built up and the anger. I also wasn\u00b4t so much a fan of the spice and how it came to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, to sum everything up, I loved the writing, the prosa and lyric in the story and the characters. Just their jump into the realtionship wasn\u00b4t that belivable. I would still gladly recomend it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
