Rezension<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Die Rebellinnen von Oxford – Verwegen“, von Evie Dunmore, ist mein erstes Buch von der Autorin und sprach mich aufgrund des Klappentexts an.
Evie Dunmore schreibt locker, fluffig und der Zeitgerecht, in der das Buch spielt. Das Setting war gut rausgeschrieben und die Welt, genau wie sie zu der Zeit spielte, realistisch dargestellt. Unsere Hauptprotagonistin war sympathisch, stur auf ihre Art und Weise und verst\u00e4ndlich in ihren inneren Konflikten und Problemen. Der m\u00e4nnliche Protagonist war verst\u00e4ndlich in seiner Weise und machte eine tolle Entwicklung durch. Generell mochte ich die Dynamik zwischen den beiden Protagonisten und wie sie immer mehr und mehr \u00fcber ihre Differenzen kommunizierten und sich gegenseitig kennenlernten.
Ich mochte auch, wie hier teilweise die Frauenbewegung in der Zeit um 1890 in die eigentliche Handlung mit eingeflossen ist und fand es am Ende ein wenig Schade, dass Evie Dunmore nicht mehr draufeinging oder es ausbaute. Potenzial und Kraft hatte das Thema. Vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass es bis heute andauert. Die Geschichte an sich fing gut an, verlor sich in der Mitte etwas und nahm am Ende wieder gute Fahrt auf.
Die Nebencharaktere hingegen blieben mir etwas zu zweidimensional und ihre Konflikte nicht wirklich ausgearbeitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fazit. Ich hatte eine Erwartung an das Buch: Unterhaltung. Und das f\u00fchlte ich mich auch letztendlich. Unterhalten und froh, es gelesen zu haben. Deshalb bekommt es von mir eine Empfehlung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
