Rezension (deutsch)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

„The Wicked King“, von Holly Black, ist der zweite Band der Folk of the Air – Reihe und habe ich gleich nach dem ersten Band gelesen.
Erneuert tauchte ich in die skrupellose, m\u00f6rderische Welt der Elfen ein, in der sich seit dem ersten Band so einiges ver\u00e4ndert hatte. Zum positiven und negativen. Jude machte w\u00e4hrend des Bandes eine weitere Entwicklung durch, die sie zu einem st\u00e4rker machte, zum anderen aber auch eine Seite zeigte, in der sie zu allem bereit war, um ihre gewonnene Macht zu erhalten und dabei ihre liebsten zu besch\u00fctzen. Es \u00e4hnelte \u00f6fter Mals einem Tanz auf Messersspitze. Durch den m\u00e4rchenhaften Schreibstil verlieh das dem Ganzen noch Mal etwas surreales, was aber perfekt zur Story passte. Die Geschichte war gespickt mit weiteren Intrigen und einer aussichtslosen Situation, die es irgendwie zu l\u00f6sen galt. Das Ganze machte die Story dadurch noch einmal spannender und drehte sie in eine andere Richtung.
In der Mitte war das Buch etwas langatmig, bis es wieder an Fahr aufnahm. Au\u00dferdem f\u00fchlten sich so manche von Judes Gef\u00fchlslagen, was ihre Familie oder Freunde betraf, erzwungen und nicht ihrem Charakter entsprechend an. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fazit, super zweiter Band mit einem fiesen Cliffhanger f\u00fcr den dritten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das Buch hat von mir 4\/5\ud83c\udf39bekommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review (english)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

„The Wicked King“, from Holly Black, is the second book in the Folk of the Air – Series.
Anew I surged into the murderous, ruthless world of faerie, which changed a lot since the first book. Postive and negative. Jude as the protagonist, went through a lot fo things in this book, which made her in some aspects stronger, but also showed me a side, in which she was willing to do everything, to not lose her grip on power and how to protect her family and friends. It was quite satisfying to see. Because of the lyrical writingstyle, that development became more underlinded und suited the overall aspect of the book. The story was made of many intruges and a impossible situation, which she had to succeed in. And that was very charging and wholesome.
The middle of the book was a bit slow, before it got interesting again and sometimes Judes emotions felt like, when they were focused on her loved ones, as if they were forced and in her character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, to sum everything up, a super second book with a mean cliffy for the third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
